2000 ROCKIN’ IN MY OUTER SPACE
This was an album written by Brian Vollmer and his solo band 7 Year Itch. The members of this band were Tony Paleschi, Bill Gadd, and Rob Long, although Glen Gamble drummed in the studio and Jeff Fountain played bass. This album would be a transition album for the band. By the time the next disc (The Power of Rock and Roll) was recorded the players would all be different once again, as would be the writing team.
The album would be recorded at Mole Studios in London, Ontario, owned by Rainer Wiechmann, who would go on to play for the band. His wife Cindy would help sing background vocals on certain tracks and she would become the first female to be in the band. The album was released to mixed reviews, but holds a special place in Helix musical history, as it kept the band going recording wise.
